Dear friends and supporters,
We are reaching out to ask for your help in bringing Maya home. Maya is a rescued dog who has been by my side for the past two years, ever since I found her abandoned in a rubbish pile on the streets of Bali. From the moment we met, Maya and I had a special connection – she knew she could trust me, and I fell in love with her instantly. Since then, we have been inseparable, traveling together and experiencing all that life has to offer.
Unfortunately, my visa is expiring in May and it will be time for me to return to Europe. I have been working to find a way to bring Maya with me, but the process of repatriating pets out of Bali is long, difficult, and expensive. Bali does not officially allow any animals in or out, so the process requires obtaining a number of permits and certificates, as well as coordinating transportation and quarantine.
The cost for bringing a small-medium sized dog like Maya from Bali to France is estimated at IDR 48,000,000 (3072 USD), which includes private car transport, export permits, health certificates, and other necessary documents. This does not include the cost of my own flight or excess baggage fees for Maya.
I am asking for your help to raise the funds needed to bring Maya home. I know that times are tough and many of us are facing financial challenges, but any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated. By supporting this cause, you will not only be helping to reunite Maya and I, but you will also be making a positive impact on the street dog situation in Bali. The problem of abandoned and stray dogs has become increasingly prevalent in recent years, and is largely ignored by the island’s government. Your support will help to alleviate this issue and bring attention to the need for better care and protection for these animals.
Thank you for considering a donation to our campaign. When you contribute, you will also be subscribing to updates about Maya’s journey, and we promise to keep you informed about the impact of your generosity. Together, we can bring Maya home and ensure that she can continue to be by my side for many more years to come.
